CABLE TELEVISION ADVERTISING
Cable networks offer much the same opportunities for advertising as do broadcast networks
and local television stations. Additionally, cable television also offers the opportunity to feature
cable crawls, messages that scroll out across the bottom of the TV screen, often on channels
focused on weather, news or television program listings.
In many areas, advertising contacts with cable companies are handled not by the individual
cable system but by a cable broker that places advertising on a variety of cable systems.
