From 1 to 7 dph, microalgae (Isochysis sp.) weregiven to each silo twice a day, and the larvae weregiven enriched rotifers (Brachionus plicatilis) from 3to 23 dph. Artemia was introduced into the silos twicea day during 14–22 dph and continued with enrichedArtemia metanauplii from 23 until 56 dph. As com-monly found for artificially fertilized cod eggs, a highmortality rate occurred at early larval stages amongboth diploid and triploid groups. Therefore, it waspresumed that no reliable survival data could beobtained for these groups. At 50 dph, survivingtriploids (n=1,620) and diploids (n=611) were transferred into two nursery tanks (black, circular with2.2 m diameter 90.9 m depth). The larvae were fullyweaned on dry feed in 1 week. By the end of the larvalrearing period (106 dph), 748 triploid and 116 diploidfish had survived.
