The aim of this study was to identify the best pellet cryopreservation procedure for the cryosurvival of tur- key spermatozoa among 192 treatments comprising dif- ferent combinations of the critical steps of this proce- dure: the type of diluent used and its dilution rate, the cooling time of the extended semen, the DMA concen- tration and its equilibration time, the drop volume and the thawing temperature. To do this, we conducted a PCA on the post-thaw sperm quality data obtained and defined a Sperm Quality score. Based on this score, the pellet cryopreservation protocol that was best at pre- serving the overall quality of frozen/thawed semen among the treatments was identified.
