The huge Indo-Pacific formation that stretches from the western
coast of the Americas, through the thousands of island groups of
the Pacific Ocean, along the northern coasts of Australia (where it
includes the Great Barrier Reef) , through Indonesia, the
Philippines and other parts of South-east Asia, and through the
various island groups of the Indian Ocean such as the Maldives and
Seychelles to the coasts of Tanzania, Kenya and Somalia in east
Africa.
