During the day we had splendid weather. There was finally a bit of sunshine and even some blue sky. Normally that would also mean really cold weather, but it was actually the opposite. The day felt really warm. I would guess that the temprature was somewhere around 6 degrees as I walked from the lunch restaurant.
However, when I later got home then the temprature had dropped. Of course, that is bound to happen when the sun sets at 15:00. It was really chilly as I walked over to a nearby supermarket to buy some food. I would say that the temprature was around 0 degrees or perhaps even a few degrees below zero. I noticed that a thin layer of ice was beginning to form on the water puddles, which is a good sign that the temprature is sub-zero.
Still, there is no snow in sight when I check the weather forecast. I am guessing that we will get the first real snow in January. Truth to tell, I do not really mind that. Sure, it is a bit special to have a white christmas, but I can only think of all the problems that a lot of snow brings. Snow will make the roads and sidewalks slippery as hell. The cold will chill you to the bone and every morning will be an ordeal where you have to spend several minutes scraping the frost from the car's windshield.
Well, look at that. There I start complaining again. :)
Good night / morning.
