John have seen old friend from university at Jolly sailor pub. His name is Carl. Carl look so different from last time John have seen. Carl got married with Linda. We are friends in university. They got married a year after finished at university. John want to know what happened with Linda and Carl.

Chapter 2 : Waiting for Linda
Three years ago Linda decided to have a holiday house by the sea. Carl thought it was a good idea to get away from busy life in London. Linda bought this house and start to go every weekend. But Carl was getting busier and busier at work. Carl always come home late. So Linda decided go to live with Melissa. Chapter 3 Mad Tom
Carl left the pub quickly. He worried about Linda. While he was driving to the train station, he saw a car before him which was Parker’s car. So he decided to go to home to find Linda but there is no one. So he decided to drive to the station. At the station, there was no more train from London for this night. He thought Linda had missed the train or she still got angry with him. After that he decided to return to the pub. He asked Mary about calling from Linda but there wasn’t any calling. Then, he told Mary what he was thinking and asked her about Tom Parker. Because of it was late night, Mary persuaded Carl to sleep at the pub.

Chapter 4 A voice in the dark

The next morning, Carl woke up and decided to go to the beach. When he walked, he saw a car. He looked through the dirty windows of the car. There were man’s clothes and one black shoe. After that he went to a church. In the church, there was a large picture. While he was looking at the picture, there was a man went into the church and said that he known Carl never know what might at the sea. The man had gone. After that Carl went to the beach. He saw a woman’s shoe in the water. Then, He returned to the pub with the shoe. He and Mary talked about the shoe which Mary told him that a postman had seen his wife with someone in Woodbridge, yesterday evening. Carl thought his wife could be dead by now and the shoe that he met was Linda’s shoe. So he wanted Mary called the police. After that he went to the beach. He saw the fish that was no head. At first, he thought it was Linda. And he saw a man’s shoe had blood on it. It was the same as the shoe in the car. He told everything that he met on the beach to Mary. Then, he phoned the flat and Melissa but there was nobody. Then she told that he could go to his house and she would tell the police where you stayed. He agreed

Chapter 5: The smell of death

While Carl was driving back to the house, he hoped that Linda would wait for him. But when he got home, Linda wasn’t there. And there is a terrible smell. After that the police arrived at the house. Then Carl talked to PC grant about the party in London. Then He went to take a bath. It was a terrible smell at the upstairs. After he took a bath, he went to the bedroom. It was a very terrible smell. He looked at the bed. The blanked were pulled up over the pillow and it was blood on it. It was somebody on the bed and it was death. First, he thought that it was Linda but it was the fish head! He went to the Mary’s pub. He was going to be mad. So, Mary called the doctor and the police.

Chapter 6: Dead father

Carl had a check from the doctor and the result was he’s mad. But he and Mary didn’t care about that. Then he went to sleep. After that he found PC Grant who told him that the police could pick up Park now. Luckily, Park accepted everything they thought he had done. Finally, Carl got a letter from Linda that made he worried about Linda again.


Chapter 7: she still loves me

Mary and Carl went back to the police station and Carl showed police the letter. Tom hadn’t taken Linda some where so Tom isn’t mad man. Then Carl drove back to London.
Carl couldn’t believe that Linda had left him and he had angry that Melissa didn’t think it serious. Also she had no idea about how much Linda and Carl loves each other. She was wrong about everything. Then Carl told his boss he had to take two days for a holiday. He said was a problem with the house and He couldn’t give his boss the real reason so he wasn’t very happy about it.
Then he went back to the flat and put some clothes in a bag and he saw the yellow dress again and put it into the bag, too. He doesn’t know why exactly because he though may be Linda might need it. Then he got in the car and drove to little Moreton.
