Accuracy and precision of the calibration curve points and a spiked sample were calculated, together with the intermediate (between-day) accuracy and precision (Table1). Both the inter-day
and between-day %RSDs were acceptable and the required accuracy per point achieved.No statistically significant differences were found when testing between-day variance(ANOVA)for the
three days (p > 0.05). The method LOD and LOQ was determined as 1 pg on column(S/N=3, n=9) and 5 pg on column(S/N=9,n=9), respectively. In a typical matrix of a crude M. hiemalis extract, no matrix effects as described by Van Eeckhaut et al.(2009) were observed (Table 1).
