since early preeclampsia with severe hypertension is associated with high perinatal mortality and morbidity rates. However stud- ies which investigate whether clinical parameters or biomarkers differ between the disease severities or between times of onset for preeclampsia are limited. Therefore we undertook this study in order to analyse the similarities and differences in the clinical parameters and laboratory biomarkers of liver and renal function between early and late preeclampsia with severe hypertension and to identify the potential risk factor(s) for developing early preeclampsia with severe hypertension.
