According to Aldag and Stearns (1987)
any communication channel is
characterized by its capacity (the amount
of information that can be sent),
modifiability (the degree to which the rate
of transmission can be varied),
duplication (use of sub-channels to
elaborate the message) and immediacy
(the speed which message can be sent).
(4) Receiver: the receiver could be an
individual or a group of people to whom
the messages are sent. In team sports,
receivers are considered to be the
athletes, personnel and assistants, to
whom the coach sends messages.
Receiver is the most complicated link of
the communication model (Boone and
Kurtz, 1992).
