In this study,
samples stored under MAP showed lower respiration rates
compared to the control samples. Over the storage period, CO2
concentration increased from 5.0% to 5.97% and O2 concentration
decreased from 5.0% to 4.35%. These values are in accordance with
Exama et al. (1993) and Moleyar and Narasimham (1994), who
recommended about 3-5% of CO2 and O2 for tomatoes packaged in
MAP
