The mid market is seeing more component systems - that is, selecting simpler ERP systems and linking/integrating better best of breed, 3rd party operational systems for WMS, Supply Chain, etc.
We've seen that for some time in Tier One environs, with larger IT groups to integrate and maintain different systems. Now the mid-market is using outside groups of integrators.
My belief is that web based access to ERP broke down the barriers of traditional proprietary technologies and provided a common access methodology - making it easier to tie different technologies together - that trend should continue and accelerate.
I don't think internet of things will be a thing much longer - just as people quit using 'Web 2.0' in every other sentence a couple years ago. And predictive analytics are pretty standard where algorithms can capture past data and model future demand. Cloud will play a role when it becomes priced or discounted beyond the point where only early adopters will purchase it.
