Assays of cell survival
For this experiment, the murine MC3T3-E1 cells were administered
using different consistencies of Rb2 (0 μM, 0.1 μM, 1 μM, and 10 μM) for
24 h and 72 h to test the toxicity of Rb2. Subsequently, the cells were incubated
using the serum-free regular culture medium, which contained
Rb2 (0 μM, 0.1 μM, 1 μM, and 10 μM) for 24 h followed by the administration
of 300 μMH2O2 for 24 h. TheMTT assays were used formeasuring cell
survival. The absorbances of all of the wells were recorded using a
micro-plate reader at 492 nm wavelength. The cell survival of the control
group, whichwas not exposed to eitherH2O2 or Rb2,wasdefined as 100%.
