N. nucifera and C. alternifolius were cleaned with tap and
distilled water to remove soil particles that adhered to the plant
stems and roots. To acclimatize the plants before starting the
experiment, the plants were grown for a week in 5 L plastic pots
under tap water in a greenhouse at the Remediation Laboratory of
King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT),
Bangkhuntien Campus in Bangkok, Thailand.
