2.1 Project study
After the proposal for scope of work and service fees has been approved, the Architect shall proceed as follows :
• Studying site condition and surrounding impact on the site.
• Gathering and studying various sources of information for use in the design.
• Studying and analyzing all controlling by-laws, building regulations and site constraints.
2.2 Preliminary design
Submitting preliminary design, considering from the information as mentioned in (2.1) which includes :
• Lay out Plan and Floor Plans
• Elevations
• Specification of Material and color
• Mass Study Model
2.3 Design Development stage
• Design development will start after approval of the Preliminary design stage (2.2). After the owner and architect have concluded the design approach before proceeding the detail development stage.
2.4 Detail development stage
The Architect shall develop the design in accordance with the Project Owner, technical suitability and standard of practice.
2.5 Submission drawings stage
The Architect shall prepare the submission drawings for submitting to the authority after the detail design has been approved. The following documents shall be submitted.
• Architectural drawings 6 copies
• Structural drawings 6 copies
• Sanitary drawings 6 copies
• Structural calculation table 1 copies
2.6 Construction drawings stage
Construction drawings shall consist of:
• Architectural drawings 3 copies
• Structural drawings 3 copies
• Sanitary drawings 3 copies
• Electrical drawings 3 copies
• Bill of quantity. 3 copies
• Final Model
2.7 Contractor’s bidding
• Clarify the design construction, regulations and details to the all competitors.
• The Architect shall give consult and participate the owner for selecting the most technical suitability, beneficial and standard of practice Contractor.
2.8 Construction process
During construction, the Architect shall :
• Make periodic visit to the site 2 weeks inspect the construction contractor’s performance.
• Make drawings for minor alternations building.
• Provide supplementary details of the construction as required.
