1. They would upset her. An intense meeting would make her ill again and, to avoid that, the group would be forced to move slowly and superficially.
2. Sandy would be unpredictable. At any point she might lose control and display dangerous, frightening behavior.
3. Sandy would, because of her lack of control, be untrustworthy. Nothing in the group would remain confidential.
