Thank you for your swift response to my inquiry, and positive feedback relating to the Ecoshred Vertec machine and its ability to process our de lacquered UBC
into our end product requirement.
Here are the answers to your questions below.
1) We get soft baled UBC, and some lower density briquettes , the soft bales are broken by machine into single can units then hand sorted on
a conveyor to remove any non UBC material ( Plastic, paper, brass Zinc etc) , this then passes under a over band magnet to remove the steel,
Then the material is fed into a quad shear to produce Sheared material 30 mm - 65 mm this then is fed into the kiln for de- lacquering.
2) We are looking for an output of around 3 metric tonne per hour.
3) There may still be some iron in the cans after de-lacquering , that has not been picked up with over band magnet, so another iron removal
system after nuggets have been produced would be an advantage.
4) My idea would be maximum 1% fines.
5) As for the size of nuggets , my idea would be 15-20mm , as a guide we are using at present a holed screens of 18 mm and 22mm.
Hope this information will help , and please contact if any more information is needed , looking forward to your proposal on machine
size needed for our operation, would like to see a video of this machine in operation processing scrap, even better if processing UBC.
Very best Regards
