3.2. In vitro effect of lemongrass oil and calcium chloride againstR. stolonifer
The data on the effect of different concentrations of LO andCaCl2on the growth of R. stolonifer are reported in Table 2. In gen-eral, growth reduction increased with the treatment concentration.In particular, LO at 1.5 ml/l completely inhibited the growth of R.stolonifer. However, a significant reduction of 50.5% was achievedalready at 0.5 ml/l. Whereas, 20 g/l of CaCl2were necessary toobtain a complete inhibition of R. stolonifer growth, although asignificant 53.3% reduction was obtained even at 10 g/l.
