“Selfie”-awareness Movement Grows
Love them or hate them, selfies are here to stay, and they are affecting how we see each other and ourselves. As a result of “selfie”-awareness, growing numbers of people are seeking cosmetic enhancements. These include injectables, laser and light-based skin rejuvenation and more involved surgeries. Social media stands out as a driving factor. A whooping 1 in 3 facial plastic surgeons detailed a surge in procedures due to the way patients saw themselves on social media.
