An addition of Gliricidia to NPK had little impact, a yield
increment of about 5% was observed in the two lower categories,
none on the Steep. Differences between Fields and Homegardenswere low both with NPK with or without Gliricidia, with slightly
higher yields in Homegardens just in the two lower slope categories.
Without NPK fertilizer, which was akin to a simulation of
low external input agriculture, the yields were often more than
halved in comparison to NPK addition, and the difference between
Steep and Flat categories even more pronounced. Both at Zero and
Gliricidia (alone) there was mostly a significant advantage in Homegardens
for yield. There was little benefit of Gliricidia above Zero
in Fields, whereas a real yield increase by Gliricidia was observed
in Homegardens at Flat and Moderate.
