British actual investment in China has been the largest among in the EU countries. By October 2001, UK has invested 3013 projects in China, with a real input of about US$9.62 Billion. UK has provided China four government loans since 1986, totaling 855 million pound (approximately US$1.37 billion). Sino-British Economic and Trade Joint Committee was established in 1996, and three sessions have been held. China-UK Investment Partnership was established in 2001. In November 2001, the Second Session of China-UK Financial Dialogue was held in Beijing.
