n this poem it seems to me that the comparison of the stars to the sun is obvious. The author seems to be stressing a correlation of the importance of the mind versus the heart. It seems to me that the Bourdillon is saying that the mind has the ability to be divided among many different pursuits. Also, it seems that even though the mind can do so many things, it cannot do any of those things as well as the heart. The heart has only one purpose but it influences more of what people often do. It may also mean that the heart's intent is much more obvious than the mind's. The sun doesn't allow things to be hidden much like it's hard for people to hide their feelings.
