Based on Table 4, we can infer that by introducing the sludge in
the production cycle of ceramic bricks, several economies related to
the replacement of a natural raw material are generated. The
recycling to ceramic industry implies cost reduction related to
disposal of the industrial waste in landfill. The substitution of
natural clay avoids also the necessity of economic and technical
feasibility studies of clay mining operation, environmental
licensing, clay extraction, clay transportation from mine to ceramic
industry, eventual fees to pay for depletion of a natural resource
and recovering the degraded area at the end of the clay mining
