Key objective of the present study was to determine
the effects of essential oils from plant species within the
Lamiaceae family and some of their volatile main
constituents (i) on the feeding activityan d (ii) on the
survival of T. tabaci. We selected essential oils and
volatile compounds that have previously been found to
have allomonic and or toxic activity against various
mite and insect pest species and to determine
