Monitor compliance to environmental laws, applicable permits and / or licenses to operate of refinery operations including coordinating regular regulatory sampling, data analysis & reporting, interacting & working with outside consultants / contractors / vendors
Influence legislation thru cooperative advocacy taskforce of draft environmental regulations affecting company operations including effectively maintaining effective governmental relationships within appropriate boundaries to achieve business results, anticipating & responding to development of government actions consistent with company position
Coordinate with refinery and regional key stakeholders in developing aligned annual Environmental Business Plan (EBP) including regular stewardship of plan progress
Interpret / implement environment related regulations & standards of corporation including any other company environmental initiatives in the forms of procedures, practices & programs
Act as Environment Protection System Administrator to drive for continuous improvement of site compliance to environmental laws and standards
Work as refinery representative with gloabal and regional affiliates via Environment Coordinator Network to leverage knowledge among sites to improve site and regional performances
Participate in regular independent verification & validation programs of SHE&S Function in various forms of assessments and audits to ensure field compliance and effectiveness of relating SHE&S work standards including Safe Work Practices, Work Permit, OIMS / GMOP, SHE Tier-1 BP, OHGP, etc.
Provide SHE&S inputs for regular local / regional / global stewardship reports / reviews
Any other tasks assigned by immediate supervisor
