Two case reports havebeen published

Two case reports have
been published involving the successful
application of bonded amalgam restorations
for patients presenting with CTS.
The first, a single clinical case involving
the use of ‘Amalgabond’;17 the adhesive
agent present in Amalgabond contains
4-META (4-methacryloxylethyl-trimellitate
anhydride). 4-META has been shown
to have the capacity to bind with collagen
fibrils present in the organic component
of dentine and to metallic ions.
