The composites were ejected from the needle (21 gauge) of
a syringe applying an electrical field, as high as several kV/cm.
Nanofibers were collected (stationary mode) on the surface of silicon substrates clamped on top of a conductive circular collector.
Different tests were performed, modifying the solvent and the
electrospinning parameters, in order to optimize the morphological properties of the synthesized nanofibers. During the deposition we employed a negative and positive voltage of 4 and
18 kV respectively; the distance between the needle and the
substrates was 16–20 cm, and the flow of the solutions were set at
5 ml/min. The deposition times were fixed at 3 min.
