The Indonesian agricultural sector remains large, comprising 14% of the country’s aggregate Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2007 as shown in the figure below (Fig 4.0). It is internationally significant in its production and export of rice, palm oil, coffee, rubber, cocoa, and spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves). Furthermore, below (Fig 4.1), shows the agricultural sector in Indonesia in term of employment and output/ GDP which shows that it is a huge sector in Indonesian's market.
