The Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of Sydney's most famous landmarks
This massive steel-arch Bridge, known locally as the "Coat Hanger", opened in 1932. It is the world's largest (but not longest as that's the New River Gorge in the USA)
Chief engineer of the Bridge was Dr John Bradfield, who prepared the general design.
The Bridge carries eight vehicle lanes, two train lines, a footway and a cycleway.
