We found a Newsletter of Clifford Chance on the relaxing of Thai foreign exchange control regulations. You can see the information below. Unfortunately, the original text in the link is in Thai language only; so we cannot read it. As you know our perspective is the one of a foreign-based bank or other financial intermediary servicing clients on a cross-border basis (without local presence or license) in or into Thailand. Accordingly, we are most interested in the impact the new regulations have on Thai clients (qualified and non-qualified clients; individual or corporate) transferring and holding funds/assets abroad.
Could you share your thoughts with me? We then decide to retain you for the drafting of an Alert on this topic. As a reminder I also include your valuable memo on Thai exchange control regulations that you had drafted for us and that we could use as a basis.
Thank you for a quick feedback!
Kind regards
Claudia
