In excess of 200 schools still closed
More than 200 schools in Bangkok and neighboring provinces have postponed the opening day of the new term for another week because of flooding.
Phitsanu Tulsuk, secretary-general of the Office of the Basic Education Commission, said that whiled most schools in the flood-hit areas opened yesterday, more than 200 remain closed and are expected to open next Tuesday.
There are 90 in Pathum Thani, 54 in Nakhon Pathom,50 in Nonthaburi and 11 in Bangkok.
Mr.Phisanu said some schools may have to postpone the opening day again depending on the flood situation.
