Participants'mean ratings of how happy and excited they would be,
how pressured they would feel to drink, and how likely they would be
to drink (all on scales of 0–7) in each beverage condition and type of situation
are shown in Table 2. In addition, Table 2 shows the number of
standard drinks participants projected consuming in each beverage
condition and type of situation. A manipulation check for a session order
effect used two within-subject analyses of variance for drinking
likelihood and amount. All Fs were non-significant, suggesting that
any difference found would be due to the beverage conditions.
