Most commonly than not, if the stock of the company went up, the moving averages will do the same. But sometimes, within the three moving averages, one might do the opposite of the rest of the trends. Transocean is an example of this situation. Its stock for week 1 went up along with the 10 period simple moving average and the 30 period exponential moving average. But the 200 period exponential moving average went down for the week.
