Right: all browser employ an identical method of locating website by prompting the user to input a web address or 'URL' (uniform resource locator) in a box at the top of the of the window. Hitting the Return key prompts the browser to locate the address on the Internet. Some other functions including forward, backward, stop and reload buttons, and 'bookmarks' (or 'favourites') to store URLs you want to remember - are also common to all browsers. Each then has its own special feature, such as safaris's tabs, which allow multiple web pages to be kept open without cluttering the screen.
