I owned the Canon 60D and the Nikon D7000. The 7000 will give you far better overall ISO performance but there is a much better and very noticeable difference at high ISO i.e. ISO 1600. Moreover, the Dynamic Range from NIkon is very well known to be better than Canon and having owned both the Canon 60D and the Nikon D7000, I completely agree with that.
The build quality is much better on the 7000. It also has better features including AF Fine Tuning/AF Micro Adjustment missing from the 60D and having that feature alone makes a HUGE difference.
the BIG thing is VIDEO, the 60D TRUMPS the 7000 when it comes to video. I personally don't use video almost at all. I literally used it about 10 times over the 3 years I had the Canon 60D so it's not something I use or care for in a D-SLR. Hope this info doesn't come too late.
