Projects usually involve attention to a variety of
human, budgetary and technical variables. Although
many definitions exist, most researchers agree that projects
generally possess the following characteristics: limited
budget, schedule, quality standards, and a series of
complex and interrelated activities (generally projectbased
or matrix structure). With respect to project success,
historically, projects have been managed as technical
systems instead of behavioural systems. That is, there
has been a tendency to use a mechanistic approach
focused on results with the main objective of attaining
target dates, achieving financial plans and controlling
the quality of the final product [7].
