If the body weights (bw) of the three groups are taken into account, the 4–6 year olds (bw 18 kg) and the
6–14 year olds (bw 30 kg) consume about three and two times more
processed meat per day than the 15–75 year olds (bw 72 kg), respectively.
Thus, the 4–6 year old children will, because of their
lower bodyweight, have the highest exposure (ng kg bw−1 day−1).
The types of processed meat consumed by the three groups are
similar (Table 3).
