7. Virtual Desktops
1. Access machines from anywhere via an RDP-enabled
device. Use a laptop, desktop, tablet or smart phone
from the office, at home or on the road.
2. Run applications and systems that a device would not
ordinarily be able to run (i.e. run Windows on an
iPad®).
3. Allow employees to use whatever device they want
with a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) model
without worrying that their device be precisely
configured to work with the company’s systems.
4. Purchase thin clients. Thin clients cost a fraction of
fully-provisioned machines and have a lifespan twice
as long. They are also cheaper and easier to maintain.
5. Make system changes and upgrades quickly and easily
from the Cloud Management Center, rather than
manually making changes on each individual
machine
