Yesterday, I had my hair cut. The salon's hairdresser talked much to me while she was doing my hair; but I just said “yes” and “no” because I couldn't say anything better. She kept talking to me, about some interesting issues like TV stars, singers, and models. After she talked to me about many things for a while with my few yes-no responses, she asked me about my private life. I decided to stop talking with her, than
I haven't understood why some people, especially one working a service job, enjoyed talking about private stories with those whom they've just met for the first time. Why do they have to talk to customers during their work? Do they need to talk with all customers? Are they possibly dismissed from their jobs unless they talk to customers? Moreover,do all customers need to talk with service providers? Are all customers conveninet to let the service provider know their privacy? Several question occur whenever I see a worker talking much to customers about personal life.
Friendliness is essential for all kinds of relationships. No matter how a group of people is familiar among themselves, they should be friendly and positively treat one another. On the other hand,if someone is too much friendly, they might be thought to be an annoying person because they would talk too much and sometimes unwittingly say something improper. People should be therefore friendly to their family, friends, teachers, colleagues, etc.,who are people in a particular relationship, not to whom they've just acquainted with. Because many people disagree about sharing their privacy to unfamiliar people,we had better not to talk about personal affairs with them.
Stop talking with the hairdresser was the best way to evidently show that I disliked doing so. She stopped the conversation abruptly when she realized that I discontinued talking. I never knew what she thought about my sudden silence, she would be accustomed to such a react, however. If she often talked much her customers, she would be treated and normally got used to it then,I believe.
