In SADSPE, the extraction time is defined as the time interval
between the injection of the mixture of disperser solvent and
sorbent in the sample and the beginning of centrifugation. This
parameter was evaluated in the range of 5s–5 min, while all the
experimental conditions were kept constant. The negligible effect
of the extraction time on the extraction recovery of cobalt(II) was observed. This fact indicates that the transfer of cobalt(II) chelate
from the sample to the sorbent is very fast, which is one of the
main characteristics of dispersion procedures.
