CSA as Counterculture?
Other literature moved CSA out of the small business environment and into the
countercultural arena. Ambach (2002) posited that CSAs offered an alternative set of values for
consumers. Instead of catering to “the consumer king” (Ambach, 2002, p. 2), CSAs focused on
sustainability rather than growth. CSA as an alternative set of values moved community
