State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory. The K-STAXI, originally developed by Spiel Berger(1996) and translated into Korean and standardized by Lee and Cho(1999), was used in this study. This inventory was designed to identify the type of anger level and anger expression. The KSTAXI consists of 44 items comprised in five subscales (ie., state anger, trait anger, anger in, anger-out, and anger control). The state-anger scale measures the severity of the feelings of anger at the time of the response to the questionnaire, and the trait-anger scale assesses the individual disposition to anger experiences. The anger in scale constructed to evaluate suppressed or inhibited anger, and the anger-out scale is to assess the tendency to outwardly express anger toward people or objects. Finally, the anger-control scale is used to measure the active control or modification of the expression of anger.
