T. In the in vitro study, all of the extracts inhibited the FeC12-ascorbic acid stimulated lipid peroxidation in rat liver homogenate, with the water extract exhibiting best response. In in vivo study, water extract of CC, following oral administration caused a significant reduction of lipid peroxidation both in liver and kidney. Moreover, lipid lowering activity of the different extracts of CC leaf have been studied and found that the leaf extract has significant lipid lowering activity which indicates that this leafy vegetable of Mizo people certainly possesses some medicinal potentiality and it needs some special attention to conduct further research to explain its ethnomedical use
