Central Italy was struck by a series of major earthquakes . The largest quake measured 6.6 on the Richter scale and It’s was the largest in Italy in 36 years. Aftershocks were felt in Rome. Geologists said the quakes were caused by movements along faults of the Apennine Mountains. Some villages were badly destroyed, but no serious injuries were reported. The government reported that the victims were rescued by them and moved into safety place in awhile and they also reported that the dwellings will be completely repaired within two months.
