In present study the results showed that identifying and classifying
S. aureus by PCR was a golden standard. The isolates of
S. aureus showed increasing resistance against many antibiotics
as Chloramphenicol, Levofloxacin and Erythromycin,
while they were sensitive against other antibiotics, such as
Vancomycin and Imipenem. Vancomycin was still the most
effective drug against S. aureus infection as described permanently
by doctors at hospitals in Damascus.
