That being said... happiness is perception i.e. it is all in your head. People don't depend on other people to be happy, in fact often they can be quite happy believing people are a certain way that in no way is close to reality... and this works best with little to no contact with said persons. Belief, or how people perceive the world, is what makes people happy- regardless of accuracy. Many people actually loathe other people. Swift, it is rumored, preferred the company of horses.
