I have sent you several questions regarding the set up of the network. Could you provide me with answers to those questions as soon as possible so we can prepare for what is needed to be done before we come for site visit to assist you to correct the network set up.
We have investigated WINDOWS7 and found that it can support the number of terminals that are existing in this network.
Our concerns have been raised by questions to you regarding the LAN cables, electric cables near to LAN cables and UPS for WIFI.
Please advise:
1. What is the UPS type for the PORT SWitch
2. What is UPS set up on the wifi hubs?
3. What is location of electric cable compared to LAn cabling (is there any cross over?)
4. What type of POrt Switch was provided? we specified a Cisco 24 Port Gigabyte switch - can you check on what was provided, specifications and check that it is correct port switch for data system (there are some just for local internet connection, not data network) Send us the model number by taking photo of the port switch model tag on the equipment.
5. How are the office PCs networked to the server to allow access to office? is this through a separate port switch, how often are these accessed, is anyone accessing these during operations doing menu editing or changing set up of equipment settings?
6. We understand that the system network cabling was set up in October and tested, since that time has any flooding occured in the area that could have leaked into any trenches for cabling? are cable heads termination points still in correct condition? Were these checked and tested after you pulled down the network in December until our team did re set up in end January?
Appreciate if you could give me feedback or call to discuss these points.
If you have other points please advise any thoughts.
We want to check on all the network issues as these are the cause of the problems you are facing with printers and disconnections from wifi network etc.
