Reporting is done at the end of the shift. Team Leaders
are expected to stay until they have keyed in their shift data
and looked at their audit information. “Our scrap rate has
improved in all three plants by 2.7 percent in the last six
months,” shares Yvonne Millette, production analyst.
“There is now visibility on the floor. The team leaders are
responsible for keying in the data. Through team meetings,
they are reporting to management and their teams, on a
daily basis, their progress. By 8:30 a.m. everything is keyed
in and reports are ready to discuss, by work centers—labor
efficiencies, cost of production, and scrap—in the 9 a.m.
meetings.”
