nquiry projects: As a deliberate attempt to engage students in more learner-centered approaches to learning, problem based approaches to teaching were developed by the Network schools, and industry/university partners. In partnership with local industry mentors, both primary and secondary teachers developed and implemented a bank of authentic tasks with accompanying assessment, standards and outcome descriptors. These tasks presented students with real-world authentic problem scenarios and challenged them to collectively generate a solution and relate this back into the real-world context.
