The PAH concentrations measured in different outdoor environments
were consistent with traffic loads in those environments.
Concentrations measured in trafficked roadsides were generally
higher (pb0.01) compared with other street types. Parks, which are
located away from traffic sources, were the outdoor environment
where the lowest PAH concentrations were recorded. This reflects the
influence of traffic as a PAH source in ambient air (Lim et al., 1999; Wu
et al., 2005; Chang et al., 2006).
