17.4.1.1 Andon Call
When an Andon Trigger is activated, the PLC will flash the Yellow station light. It will go solid yellow after the station has reached its Fixed Position Stop (FPS). The PLC will also inform the Factory Information System that an Andon call was activated in that station. The FIS will log the call and activate the PCB to alert other personnel who could provide assistance. The PCB will scroll yellow station numbers in the center section for all active Andons. The station number will turn red when those stations reach their own FPSs. The PCB will play music one time for 5 seconds upon initial activation of the button. The bottom lines of the PCBs will show the first station that caused the Andon stop, after that station has reached its FPS. This will appear as an MI fault. The Andon call is reset by pulling the button out. The PLC will turn off the yellow station light and inform the FIS that the call was cleared. The PLC can then re-start the line if stopped, assuming no other faults are active (from the QAS or any other system). The FIS will clear the PCB and complete the log of the incident.
